Mikel joined Klarent in 2018 as Food and Beverage Manager at the London King’s Cross DoubleTree by Hilton, where he managed the department, led training, and built strong teams. In 2021, he was promoted to Operations Manager, overseeing the smooth running of the hotel and supporting key workers during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In 2022, Mikel became Taskforce Manager, taking on multi-site responsibilities and driving operational excellence. His success in this role led to an exciting opportunity in 2023 to join the Learning & Development team as Group L&D Manager, where he focused on building skills and inspiring career growth across Klarent.
After making a significant impact in L&D, Mikel returned to operations in 2025 as Deputy General Manager, bringing fresh insights and a people-focused approach to hotel leadership. His journey highlights the opportunities Klarent offers for career progression and development across different areas of hospitality.
Hotel Manager – Doubletree by Hilton
Lorna is the Hotel Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central. Her journey with Klarent Hospitality is a fantastic example of how dedication and versatility can lead to career progression.
Lorna began her career at the hotel as an M&E Operative, before moving into Food and Beverage roles where she developed her operational expertise. She quickly progressed to leadership positions such as Bar Supervisor and Bar Manager, where she honed her skills in team management and customer service.
Her adaptability during the COVID-19 pandemic proved invaluable and accelerated her career growth. Lorna went on to become F&B Manager, then Director of Operations, before stepping into her current role as Hotel Manager.
